Larry has been a professional
actor/singer/dancer/director for more than 25 years, and
co-founder/Artistic Director of Avalon Theatre Company. He has worked
for theatres from coast-to-coast, has experience in radio, film, TV,
commercial, and industrial aspects of the entertainment industry, and
has served on many committees as a member of Actorsâ Equity Association
in Chicago, New York, and St. Louis.
Some of his New York acting
credits include: Ten Little Indians (All Souls Players), Closer Than Ever (MTW), Theo Tallis, Tailor (MTW), and Faust In Vitro (LaMaMa E.T.C.). While in Chicago his appearances included Forever Plaid (Royal George), and The Music Man
(Lincolnshire Theatre). He has appeared locally at STAGES St. Louis,
The Muny, Theater Factory, Historyonics, and Avalon Theatre Company.
Film and TV: Reading Rainbow, Dellaventura w/Danny Aiello, Since You've Been Gone (directed by David Schwimmer), and Lulu on the Bridge
w/ Harvey Keitel. He has appeared in local and national commercials in
addition to his industrial film and radio work. Recent Avalon directing
credits include An O.Henry Christmas, David Mamet's Boston Marriage, and the World Premiere of Little Bosnia.
Larry
has also held positions with a variety of corporations throughout his
career that have enabled him to develop a diverse set of business tools
and skills. His experience includes: internal auditing for Sears,
Roebuck & Co.; database development for Quaker Oats Co.; marketing
analysis for American Express; external affairs and communications for
the School of Business and Technology at Webster University; and
director of the Center for Professional Development (CfPD) at Webster
University.
Larry holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Stephens College and has completed the coursework for his MFA in Arts Management and Leadership which explores all aspects of operating and leading not-for-profit arts organizations.
