John Contini

John most recently appeared at Avalon as Victor Franz in The Price and received a 2009 Kevin Kline Award for his performance as John Barrymore in Avalon's Barrymore. He has received two other Kline nominations for Avalon productions: A Walk in the Woods (actor) and Molly Sweeney (director). John has also appeared in Avalon's The Country Girl (Frank Elgin), Bus Stop (Dr. Lyman) and has directed The Subject Was Roses and Portrait of My People.
John has appeared with nearly every professional theatre in St. Louis: The Rep, STAGES, The Black Rep, New Jewish Theatre, HotCity Theatre, Shakespeare FEstival, St. Louis Actor's Studio, Variety Children's Theatre, and nearly 50 production at the MUNY. Last fall John made his Insight Theatre Company debut as Robert in Proof.
A proud member of Actors' Equity for over 35 years, he has appeared in over 100 productions throughout the Midwest (Dallas, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Atlanta and others). He is also a member of AFTRA.
